Jim was also nominated for the 2008 Florida Bar Foundation Medal of Honor Award.

Jim was a guest lecturer at Nova University Law School, and assisted in presenting continuing legal education courses to private attorneys and legal aid services in Florida through the HOPE program, the Miami Dade Consumer Services Department, the District 1 Foreclosure Prevention Clinic and monthly free advice to consumers for Wellington for several months from May, 2009. He has presented lectures to dozens of Continuing Legal Education classes both pro bono and on a fee basis.
